Two brothers. A wealthy family. A brutal crime that shocked the nation.

In Episode 2 of Season 2 of Legacy Files, we open the file on Lyle and Erik Menendez, whose 1989 murders of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez, became one of the most infamous criminal cases in American history.

Behind the headlines was a complicated story involving family dynamics, allegations of abuse, wealth, privilege, and a multimillion-dollar inheritance. What happened inside the Menendez home, and what role did money and inheritance play after the murders?

As the case returns to public attention decades later, Legacy Files examines the timeline, the evidence, the courtroom battles, and the questions that continue to surround the Menendez brothers.

Because sometimes the darkest family secrets aren't buried in the ground. They're buried in the legacy.
