On this episode, Shaddee hosts Daro Umaigba (a.k.a Darobng), an award winning multi-talented Filmmaker, Published Photographer who loves to tell African stories through a contemporary lens. 

His career spans over a decade and has been the brains behind a lot of opening titles for popular TV shows (Retreat, Jemeji, Enakhe). His works have also been featured in the UK and the US.  

 In 2016, Daro and a team of Filmmakers represented Nigerian in Atlanta for the 48hr film competition having won the award in Lagos Nigeria. In March of 2022 he was honored in Brazil for winning Best Documentary original screenplay for his Documentary “Village of Big Dreams”.   

Daro’s love for creating deeper engagement experiences with the African culture, has brought him into the nonfictional storytelling space. 

His eclectic and Culture centric style permeates all his work and one can clearly see that he is always in the running to present the African narrative on a global stage.
