Jack and Klakkr both do business with some of the city’s mages, to various ends. Zachariah learns more about mind flayers. Moriarty and Hudson do their own research, Moriarty looking into the Wayfinders and Hudson trying to figure out Zachariah’s past. A librarian/apprentice mage flirts with a clueless Hudson, who agrees to “look for booty on the beach,” but when he shows up to help her find “buried treasure” he realizes that there was a miscommunication.
