Amy Jo Kim explains how game design influences online social behavior through UI & UX of some of the world's most popular consumer internet brands.Amy Jo pioneered the idea of applying game design to digital services like social networks, marketplaces, and more years before the terms "game mechanics" and “gamification” were introduced in 2010. ABOUT AMY JO KIM:Amy Jo Kim is a noted social game designer, entrepreneur, startup coach and author. She holds a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology. She has taught Game Thinking at Stanford University, and she was an adjunct professor of Game Design at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Amy Jo has also been named by Fortune as one of the top 10 influential women in games! Her design credits include Rock Band, The Sims, eBay, Netflix, Ultima Online, IndieGoGo, and more. She’s also widely known for her books “Community Building on the Web” and “Game Thinking”.Today Amy Jo Kim runs the Game Thinking Academy where she works with and trains entrepreneurs and game product teams around the world.
