Romantic comedies, or "rom coms", have always been thought of as lighthearted and fun, but are they really? Some of the things done in these so called romantic comedies, if applied to real life, can be considered creepy or even flat our illegal. Do these movies give people an unrealistic idea of love and relationships or are they just a fun way to pass a few hours? Why are women, who these movies are aimed at primarily, always written in a less than flattering way? In this episode I'll be talking about my reasons for disliking this particular genre, and how one of the most well known (and liked) romantic comedies really grinds my gears.
