Hilary welcomes musician Libby Dorot of OSLEE to discuss the power of music and mantra. She talks about her own journey into music and creativity as divine communion, her new album, and the importance of developing practices that make you feel held. The force behind OSLEE is Libby Dorot, a classically trained singer and pianist, certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and Litios Light Priestess based in Los Angeles. Libby began her music career at age 8 when she performed her first role with the Washington Opera as an angel in the production of “Mefistofele” and she hasn’t stopped since.
As soon as Libby discovered Kundalini Yoga in 2014, she fell in love with its transformative power. This inspired her to produce mantra music in her own contemporary style under the moniker OSLEE, which means, “Obey, Serve, Love, Excel, Elevate.”
OSLEE music has been described as “Lana del Rey meets Chakra music,” and “the Lady Gaga of mantra.” She brings her high elevation, heart centered performances internationally at festivals, retreats, workshops, and seminars in the US, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and more.
In 2018, Libby released her first mantra album, “Elevate,” earning her the acclaim as “the next big thing in Kundalini music.” Her sophomore album, “Songs for my Teacher,” was written for and dedicated to renowned Kundalini Yoga Teacher and archivist, Tej Kaur Khalsa.
“Songs for my Teacher,” was just released on February 22, 2020 and is available for streaming and purchase on iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify and all other major platforms.
