As we celebrate America’s 244th birthday, it seems like she’s starting to show her age. The country feels more divided everyday. We get angry with opinions that differ than ours. We have become ridged, punitive, and stubborn. Is there room for the American Dream when the most intimate moments shared with our neighbors are angry internet comments? Where do we go from here?

15. Open-mindedness - What if we give empathy a shot?

Next-day delivery, social media, the internet of things, smartphones, video streaming services… Humans are faster and more connected now than ever before. But despite all of the advancements making our lives easier, something feels off. We’re emotionally distressed, divided, and increasingly hostile towards one another. But why? 

During each episode of The Inhuman Condition, longtime friends Mike (a psychotherapist) and Jordan (a technologist) examine the difficulties experienced by modern society and why they believe we struggle with them.
