How much of the life God created you for do you actually want? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach challenge Christian men to examine the difference between giving a lot and giving everything. Greatness is not simply trying harder or becoming slightly better. It is the pursuit of everything God created you to become, and that kind of transformation demands more than comfort, convenience, and partial commitment.
Jesus modeled the path clearly. Greatness comes through sacrifice, obedience, service, and the willingness to surrender your whole heart. Biblical masculinity requires endurance because the deeper you go, the harder the transformation becomes. The easy changes come first. Eventually you reach the places where faith is tested, selfishness has to die, and quitting starts to feel reasonable. But purpose is not fulfilled by giving God most of yourself. It is found in the ongoing decision to trust Him with all of it, even when you cannot see the outcome or the fruit of what you are building.
The call is bigger than one intense moment of commitment. It is all of you, for all of time, in every area of your life. Your faith, marriage, family, friendships, finances, work, health, and rest are all things you have been given to steward. The goal is to keep growing, keep multiplying, and keep running until you can say with Paul that you finished the race and kept the faith. Christian men who want real greatness must stop asking how little they can give and begin asking a harder question: how much of what God created me for am I willing to leave unfinished?
