This week on The Halal Gap, The Mosquers presents Timiro Mohamed! She is an award winning Canadian-Somali spoken word poet, and will be one of the featured artists at the 2019 Mosquers Film Festival. Raised right here in Edmonton, she was a semi-finalist at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in 2016 and is also a full-time business student. Join us as we discuss the inspiration behind her poetry, finding an artistic voice and the state of poetry in the education system, as well as her collaborative chap-book 'Water'.
