Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?
Today’s program is about the positive effects of trials and tribulations.
A lot of it has to do with your attitude in the midst of the trials.
Do you want them to work for you or against you?
Today's Scripture comes from The Book of James Chapter 1 verses 2 and 3 which says:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces patience.
I want to add verses 4 and 12 to this mix, so that you can see the benefits when you use trials to your advantage.
Verses 4 and 12 says:
4 Let patience or perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
I want you to notice that James did not say: ‘Consider it Joy; or be happy when you face trials.’
No one in their right mind would be happy to face trials, but when they come, that person can be joyful; trusting that God would be there with them in the midst of the trials.
