A Scottsdale Arizona native, Lauren Loven is a precision sniper on the basketball court. She played varsity four 4 years running at Notre Dame Preparatory High School. During that time she transformed her play from point guard to shooting guard. Always growing, while at the University of Denver (D1), she further mastered her mindset to become a fearless sharp shooting deep threat from uncommon ranges. This along with constant work to perfecting her shooting footwork, shoulders and release, led her to break the 3 point record at the University of Denver and a league record with the most 3s in a single season - a jaw dropping: 111. All 4 of her collegiate years, she ranked in the top 10 for 3 pointers. After college she entered the professional ranks in Europe, on the heels the pandemic. As life began to move again, she quickly stablished herself once again, on an elite professional team in Spain. She’s currently recovering from an injury and undoubtably, knowing her work ethic, refining some aspect of her game. She is dogged in her approach to practice and reps, appreciating that the grind, sacrifice, discipline and consistency are core ingredients to greatness. Her clarity on who she is, her role in the sport and what’s required to be successful is razor sharp. Her path can serve as a blueprint for aspiring young athletes and all who seek growth and improvement.
“I learned over the years that you can never take anything for granted and you have to treat every rep, practice, and game like it is your last. Always believe” ~ Lauren Loven
