Lamentations is written during one of the darkest hours in the history of God's chosen people. The walls of Jerusalem, the holy city, have crumpled down at the hands of the Babylonians. The sacred temple, God's house on earth, has also fallen. Can hope be found in the midst of this deep spiritual, physical and psychological trauma?
