I thoroughly enjoyed Cryptopia. and I'm so excited to have had the chance to speak to its director and share the conversation with you. Cryptopia is a documentary, a great educational piece AND it’s also a very compelling story, full of drama. The production took place over two years and on four continents. This was the first and only film crew to be granted access to the secret "Bitcoin Bunker" in a former military installation in Switzerland.

Torsten is passionate about media, technology, finance and cryptocurrencies. He is a serial media entrepreneur, an award-winning filmmaker and an advisor to technology start-ups. He has published a book, produced several documentaries, spoken at the world's largest media events and has lived and worked on four continents. His first film about Bitcoin ("Bitcoin: The End Of Money As We Know It") started production in January 2014 and was released mid 2015 when it became an online sensation. Currently, Torsten is promoting his latest documentary "Cryptopia: Bitcoin, Blockchains and the Future of the Internet" globally. Previously Torsten gained management experience at one of Europe’s largest cable TV operators. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Oxford and frequently works as a freelance consultant.
