This week we are so excited to have David McCallum here in The Field. David was arrested at 16 years old, and served 29 years in prison for a kidnapping and murder he did not commit. In October 2014, he was finally exonerated. One of the things that struck me when speaking with David was that so many of the same challenges that plague people who have been incarcerated, apply equally to those who are exonerated. The layers of stigma and the societal barriers remain.
