Bronwyn is a post-Mormon BYU graduate who recently worked for DCFS in Utah, where she oversaw over 200 sexual abuse cases. In this episode, Bronwyn and I discuss the cruel and abusive practice of Disciplinary Councils (aka "Membership Councils") in the Mormon church, both our personal experiences as well as the current pending council involving a prominent Mormon sex therapist, Natasha Helfer. Bronwyn shares her experience of seeing correlations between the purity & shame culture of Mormonism and sexual abuse cases in Utah.
