Mubin Shaikh’s story sounds almost impossible. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, he was just 18 when an identity crisis took him to Pakistan, where he came face-to-face with the Taliban, became enamored with their worldview and descended into jihadist extremism. Then came the moment that changed everything. Years later, Mubin was working undercover with Canadian security intelligence, infiltrating extremist networks and ultimately becoming a key human source in the Toronto 18 terrorism case.
