In today's episode, I answer a question posed about episode 154: Dismemberment and Remembering of the Masculine. In that episode, I read the Grimm's fairy tale The Handless Maiden, also known as The Woman Without Hands.Someone asked the question, "what exactly do we do in the 7 years of being in the forest while growing back our hands?"In this episode I use the text The Feminine in Fairytales by Marie- Louise von Franz to aid in my answering of that question. I discuss the implications of psychological introversion, confrontation with genuine loneliness, and stepping away from the projected roles that have been placed upon us by culture. In the forest, one is reclaiming a sense of spontaneity and trust in the self-regulating process of the psyche and 're-membering' themselves in the process; especially concerning the new potentials of the creative masculine energy within.Again, here is a text version of the fairy tale: https://sites.pitt.edu/~dash/grimm031.htmlHere is a lecture on the fairytale by Jungian scholar Dr. Raina Manuel-Paris: https://youtu.be/7VKEiNXRuGwTo find more information about the upcoming Book Club on The Soul's Code, head here: https://www.drdaniellemcginnis.com/souls-code-book-clubTo find more information on my upcoming Mother Archetype Workshop Series, head here:https://www.drdaniellemcginnis.com/mother-archetype-workshop-seriesEnjoy the show!Be sure to rate, review, and share the show with those who you feel would enjoy the show! Thanks for listening! To join my free community, head to https://dr-danielle-mcginnis.mn.co/share/To follow me on social media, head to @drdaniellemcginnisTo find my website, head to www.drdaniellemcginnis.com
