Everyone tells you that you need to have a niche and that you should niche down. The problem is that only works for digital marketers and it causes creators to make the same type of content over and over. Plus it causes them to become stale over the long term. 

Also the YouTube algorithm doesn't seem to care about your niche and niches only help your subscribers know that type of videos to expect from you. 

Really subscribers usually only account for a very small percentage of your views and YouTube will show your video to the right person regardless of type of content your channel focuses on. 

So why have a niche at all if that's the case?
