Welcome back, everyone! It's 2021 and this episode marks our first for the new year. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break and are ready to get back into our course on, The Universal Monsters. This episode will be the 5th part in this series and we are now officially over half way done. Tonight's subject is the 1933 film, The Invisible Man. A movie that'll leave you with a drug-induced psychosis on the effects of early Hollywood's "golden age" horror and comedy styles. The Invisible Man is the story of a gentlemen that found out how to harness one of mankind's greatest, yet seemingly unachievable, hidden powers...and yes, you guessed it, invisibility. Then going mad in the process which leads to mayhem and destruction. No spell. No cloak. No superpower. Just manipulating the gifts from mother nature to work in your favor. A true horror masterpiece as we would say. With that said, have yourself a seat and a listen. Be sure to take notes and enjoy the discussion as our surgeons, Joshua and Matthew, dissect the very, visible, life that this movie had lived. Our next subject will be on the beloved 1935 film, The Bride of Frankenstein. Be sure to tune in next week. Stay safe, healthy, and spooky, students.
