1931 was quite the year for films of the horror genre. Accompanying Dracula, our previous topic, in this year of true terror was no other than Frankenstein, a monster science created...but could not destroy! This film explores the insane mind of Henry Frankenstein with the "monster" that he had forged out of human remains, giving life from death, and the creature's limited comprehension and absolute unknowing of how the world operates. Join are lead dissectors, Joshua and Matthew, on their quest to see what lurks behind the suit of skin that is Frankenstein. We'll find out the articulations that lie inside our specimen and it's organs functionality of true cinematics. Joshua and Matthew will describe, piece by piece, the way the movie came together and how some could view it in a way that was misunderstood, just like the monster. Remember kids, never play god. Never idolize the god imposter, Henry Frankenstein. Shifting the balance between the realms of the living and the dead could have some horrific consequences. But keep that in mind for our subject next week because we will be diving into the history behind the 1932 film, The Mummy! Stay safe and healthy out there. You'll hear from us soon.
