Welcome back. We're glad you could make it to another class of The Dissector's Cut. Todays subject; The Thing. In the late 70's and early 80's there was a flood of sci-fi movies both horrifying and not-so-horrifying. Unfortunately, John Carpenter's "The Thing" drowned amongst them only to resurface decades later as a cult classic once it stepped upon dry land yet again. These days, every horror movie "Top Ten" list you see, every fanatic you cross paths with will suggest that you must see The Thing if you want to really get in touch with your inner nightmares. So take notes, for Matthew and Josh perform the autopsy and present to you some of the machinations of such an iconic film and explain how such an "out of this world" movie came to be so "down to earth".....
