Jack temporarily fixes the heart of Mara’s black swan tale in a pinecone bound with chains of silver through his telling of the story from Johannes de Alta Silva’s Dolopathos. His story of the Swan Children and the origin of the Swan Knight has a few twists, one of which leaves a trace of dark intent for Mara’s future.
