This is a fantastic audio-drama! Definitely worth a listen as there’s only one season and it jumps right into the mystery. Great production!

I’m a total drama podcast junky and just randomly looked this up from a review on Leaving Corvat. I did not like the first episode and almost just turned this off… until episode 2-3 and stuff started to make sense, the story coming together… I binged the entire season from there in a day. Absolutely fantastic story writing and voice acting. Well done. Eagerly await season 2!!!

I was absolutely enthralled by the first episode, and though the rest can be hard to understand at times, I loved every minute of it.

I stumbled on this from someone who reviewed Leaving Corvat and IM SO HAPPY I DID!!! This wntire story is fantastic and the storyline is incredible I wish there was a S2 because i FLEW threw S1!

This is AMAZING. The mystery is so cool. The characters are perfect and paint the most interesting story. I just finished and wanna go back and listen again to catch everything I missed. Wow wow wow! If you want a quick podcast to introduce you to the audio fiction genre this is it. Also the sound scape and voice acting is so so so good. Congrats to the creator. PLEASE DO MORE!!!

A brilliant study of nature vs nurture as well as an excellent commentary on the current state of the prison system, all wrapped up in scifi drama.

This is a top-caliber podcast, and frankly top-caliber entertainment, period; with great acting and even better writing. Delivered in a succinct, self-contained format, with a bow on top, for your aural pleasure. 5+ stars.

I’ve listened to a ton of audio dramas and the Deca tapes has really surprised me with its strong story telling and cast. For context since me of my favorite audio dramas are Old Gods of Appalachia, The White Vault, and The Magnus Archives, all of which I consider to have top writing and production values. I would put Deca on that tier. Also, bonus points for telling a complete story, stand alone with a definite ending in one season. A lot of dramas seem to show up and tease various mysteries, but leave most storylines unresolved while the podcast itself never returns. While there could definitely be more stories in this universe, this one season stands on its own and reminds me of reading a good short story or novella. Hope people give it a try so this team can make a season two.

I listen to many podcasts, probably 15+, this was my first fictional story telling podcast. I loved it, I will be recommending this podcast often. Waiting for their second show!

This is so good, I don't know what to say. I felt like there was no color in the world a few hours after listening to it, which was probably on purpose. . It's so immersive and interesting, and well paced. But it's not an easy listen. If any new content comes I will not learn from the past and jump headfirst into whatever melancholic dystopian drama they have next.

I just binged the entire season 1 in a day! The format was good, the acting was great and the story was compelling! I will enjoy more, if it comes, but it can also stand alone as a satisfying story. Well done!

Each episode provides just enough additional information while leaving the remainder of the overall story hidden to always keep you wanting more up until the very end. From maintaining a propulsive tension that never lets up, to furnishing an elegant solution to a locked room mystery, to making sharp and precise commentary on how society keeps order, there’s not a single misstep or shred of excess fat in this ambitious, virtuosic piece.

Cool melding of science fiction and a mystery and a true-crime-style backstory, with some corporate espionage framing via the leaked tapes format. Nice pieces of a good puzzle.

The Deca Tapes is an amazing podcast: the story, the sound design, the purpose. I cannot recommend it enough. By the last episode, you’ll be stunned.

the deca tapes was recommended to me when it was on one of its first few episodes and i instantly fell in love. this is the first podcast i’ve listened to and, wow, it’s.. amazing. keeps you guessing at every corner, it keeps you curious, it keeps you wondering, it keeps you thinking “why this?”. it’s so creative and i’m really looking forward toward anything else put out by the creator(s)(?) of this. i really enjoyed this ride.

A mystery you'll get pulled into from the start. Who are these people (known by titles, not names)? What are their "tasks"? Where are they? Amnesia? Paranoia? Feels like "Persons Unknown" plus the "White Bear" episode of "Black Mirror" and I'm there for it. (Review as of episode 3)

A good podcast has a fantastic soundtrack. It really lends itself to the story. Fantastic beginning!

Very interesting show - the vibe reminds me of Between the Wires and The Angel of Vine. I’m excited to see where it goes. My only complaint is the music. While it is lovely music, it is too present (and loud) and doesn’t necessarily align with the narrative, which is very distracting.

The haunting creepiness of this show totally captured my interest within the first few minutes! The music adds to the atmosphere so well and the acting is on point. I’m so excited to hear this mystery unfurl.
