You can’t say our children are the future and not invest in educators. The uncomfortable conversations, people don’t want to have them. There’s an elephant in the room and everybody keeps walking around it but the elephant isn’t getting any smaller. It makes a difference when a student comes to school and see’s someone look like them as their Guidance counselor, social studies teachers. The pay is at one level, but the expectation of our teacher’s is much higher. We have to rethink the way we treat our teacher’s if we truly want to invest in our kids.
