Week 20 | Roots of Anxiety (1995)This week, we’re in Week 20 of a series Darrell taught on the Sermon on the Mount in 1995 at Glendale Presbyterian Church in California. In this message on Matthew 6:19–34, Darrell explores what Jesus says about the roots of anxiety. He reveals how Jesus’ teaching shows us that anxiety often grows out of three deep movements of the human heart: what we treasure, what we fix our attention on, and whom we ultimately serve. When our security is tied to temporary things, anxiety follows—but when our treasure, vision, and allegiance are centred on God, we discover real freedom.
