When I was growing up, I always had a passion for music. I didn’t always have the money to buy all of the records that I wanted to buy but I always gravitated to good music.

In elementary school I started learning how to play the drums and also tried the saxophone for one year. I eventually gravitated to piano but I had no idea how to play it.

Fast forward to age 13, I started playing the piano and my life changed forever. Playing the piano become my new passion and all I wanted to do was learn to play. Instead of being out in the streets and getting into trouble, I was in love with playing the piano and just wanted to practice and get better. I was so focused on music that I didn’t have time for anything else. When I wasn’t practicing I was playing at somebody’s church and when I wasn’t playing at somebody’s church, I was practicing.

I personally feel like all teenagers should be consumed with something that’s productive whether its music, sports, or some type of extra curricular activity.
