One of the most difficult things we face today in the church is being able to discern wether a book that sounds like it might be interesting is theologically sound to read.“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”Romans “I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.”Psalm “Worthless” here means to be good for nothing, causes destruction or hard heartedness. There are literally thousands and thousands of books being sold, and we cannot be too careful. Popularity is not an indicator of sound, correct doctrine. On this episode, my guest and I are going to discuss one of the most popular books within the church for almost 20 years. “Jesus Calling”.There is a lot to absorb as we look carefully at the book, and the claims the author makes about it.Contact Information;Website; www.doreenvirtue.comYou Tube; www.youtube.com/DoreenVirtueForJesusInstagram; @doreenvirtueFacebook; Doreen virtueRecommended Book Resources;Brenna Scott; “Christian Journaling or Psychic ChannelingA Critical comparison of the Jesus Calling Series with Occult Training LiteratureWarren B.
