This is Part 2 of us trying to make sense of life with a newborn :) Part 1 was recorded in Week 2 post-baby, and Part 2 was recorded in Week 10. And if you’re a parent, you already know… a lot can change in 8 weeks. So we felt like we needed one more episode to reflect on how these drastic changes are affecting our careers and marriage.
Despite our lack of sleep, we somehow managed to cover a ton of topics including the fear of not working, controlling emotions, “crawling productivity” through postpartum, breast pumping while traveling, solo parenting, the power of saying no, why priorities are more important than ever, and parenting advice that affects our careers.
There’s also a lot of discussion about adapting to a new - often limiting - schedule to get creative work done. Bonus points if you can count how many times Spencer says “blocks of time.”
If you want to hear how 2 new parents try to ease back into working with a newborn and how to maximize limited time with little sleep, this episode is for you!
