Growing up, Zaq learned how to play every instrument under the sun.  



From guitar and piano to oboe.  



After getting a marketing degree from Arizona State in 2009 he decided to make the pivot to music and moved to Boston to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music.



  Immediately out of school he landed a job at the legendary Henson studios in Los Angeles. 



 After only a year on the west coast he relocated to Nashville and eventually ended up at The Sound Emporium as a staff engineer.  



It was at the Sound Emporium that he got to work with legendary producers, artists, and engineers from all over the world ranging from Orville Peck and Daniel Donato to India Arie and Cage the Elephant.
