Sarah - Coffee shop owner, mother and wife talks Lockdown in Malta.  Sarah Caçhia runs her little coffee shop with a big ♥️ JACOBS BREW-PAY IT FORWARD, together with her disabled son Jacob in the seaside village of Marsascala on the sunny Island of Malta. It's not just a coffee shop.

There's an inspirational story behind it.   After Jacob survived a near fatal illness 7 years ago they decided to use their traumatic experience to help other families facing trauma by creating a support group which they called SURVIVORS MALTA.

The group went on to become a registered charity so as to create projects to help such families. The support in the virtual world soon spilled over into the real world and a hub was needed where others in need of support could meet and what better place to do so than at a coffee shop!

Jacob's Brew Cafe opened it's doors in July 2018. Since opening the Caçhia family together with their loyal patrons have raised thousands in funds to donate to Survivors Malta derived from the shops revenue and fund raising activities at the shop.  The funds raised have initiated projects at the hospital such as JACOB'S COFFEE RUN; delivering free sandwiches and coffee to the families in the waiting area at the intensive care unit and THE REUNITED PET CABIN; a building designated for pet visitation and pet therapy for the patients and their families.

Enjoy.
