Professor Ariel Kalil describes how she pivoted from being a francophile to an interest in childhood development and parenting. The search for finding small but impactful changes in parenting behavior led her to become a professor at The University of Chicago, where she is continuously inspired by her colleagues, students, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
