Recently I've spent a lot of time help clients create offers and copy using the 40/40/20 rule.
Basically, it works like this:
Any successful product is broken down into the following three things...
40% is the Audience
40% is the Offer itself
20% is the Copy
Which means your copy could be absolutely stellar, but if the audience (email list, facebook ads, website) is wrong, it won't work.
It also means if the offer (the product/whats included/how it helps/what it's unique/different) is trash, it also won't work.
The good news is, if you get the audience and the offer right - the copy is wayyyyy easier to write.
In todays podcast I talk through the best way to get all three right from the get go.

In just over a week, I will have been freelancing full time for 12 months.
I can't believe how quickly that time has flown!
When I first found I was going to be made redundant from my corporate job, I was nervous but also excited at the possibility of doing something I've always wanted to do.
Freelancing.
In todays Podcast, Tim and I go through some of things we really love about Freelancing (and being a service provider) and some of the hardships too.
If you've ever considered making the leap to full time freelancer, todays podcast is for you.

What happens when two buddies catch up to talk about all things copywriting?
In todays Interview, my friend Alex Moore and I talk about what we think a modern day copywriter needs in order to succeed.
Although your "copy chops" are important... there's more to it than that!
I hope you enjoy todays Podcast from two recently graduated "Copy Cert" copywriters/funnel specialists.

Clubhouse is a super hot topic right now! But what exactly is Clubhouse, and should you even care? Well.. I invite my good friend Tim King back for another podcast to talk about a strategy he’s currently using to find new client work, build his following and get invited to go ‘on stage’ with some big names. This podcast is full of so many nuggets! Enjoy!

As you guys know, I recently enrolled in a high level Copywriting & Sales Funnel certification.
It's one of the best things I've ever done.
This week, I learnt something that was a true eye opener...
Everything is a remix.
What does that mean exactly? Well, simply.. every idea, every song, every book, every show, every movie.. (including Star Wars) is not really an original idea, but simply a remix of something before it.
I had no idea that George Lucas drew a lot of his original inspiration from the Flash Gordan series as a child.. and that he actually wanted to make a Flash Gordan movie.. (but he was able to secure the rights, so he made Star Wars instead).
Go and watch the YouTube clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJPERZDfyWc
This helped me realise that as a Copywriting/Sales Funnel builder, we can leverage inspiration and ideas from everything around us. It takes the pressure off our shoulders and allows us to consume for new and exciting concepts.
I would love to know what you thought of the video. Drop a comment on my website!

G'day guys,
It's the beginning of 2021, and I decided this year I wanted to take my Copywriting & Sales Funnel skills to the next level.
While I know my skills in each are already at a high level, working with the 1% of online marketers is how you really improve your skills.
So, I bit the bullet, shelled out $5,000 and made the decision to commit to mastery.
Starting Feb 1st, I'm going to be doing a sales funnel and copywriting certification so I can start helping my clients scale their businesses to $100k+ a month using this new funnel system. I'm excited and nervous all at once.
Each week I'll create a new Podcast episode to share the progress I'm making and answer questions you send through.
Looking forward to a very exciting 2021 and leaving 2020 in the dust!!

There's a change coming...
And if you're using Facebook Ads for your business it's going to affect you.
In the next iOS update 14.1, Apple will allow users to opt-out of being 'Pixeled' on Facebook and Instagram.
That means Zuckerberg will no longer be able to see what content you engage with, what you like, comment, watch or read on either platform.
It also means he can't show you relevant ads or target you with sponsored content.
Is this a good or a bad thing? Will Facebook Ads cost more, or will they change the algorithm? Who knows..
But it means a big change is coming and businesses will need to begin to rely more heavily on email marketing more than ever.
What are your thoughts on the topic?

I'll be the first to admit... I don't know a lot about SEO Copywriting.
Sure, I understand the basic concept of SEO, but for my personal website, I've never had any kind of strategy in place.
Recently, I've had a number of clients and friends ask me what they should do to improve the SEO Copywriting on their sites... to which I had no answer.
That's why I asked an SEO Copywriting expert friend of mine, Mr. Tim King to come on today's Podcast and talk to us about the best practices to improve your SEO rank, create quality cornerstone content and build a long term SEO strategy.
I think today's Podcast is absolutely killer with so many gold nuggets.
Thank you for coming to the show again Tim!
