Welcome to the CodeX Cantina where our mission is to get more people talking about books! Today we are looking at one of the most heavily anthologized short stories, "The Swimmer" by John Cheever. Hailed as one of the greatest short stories of all time, let's take a look at a few of the angles that resonated with us. We talk about Greek influences and the Odyssey, societal pressures, alcoholism, and more!John Cheever Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjbKalXQhI8&list=PLHg_kbfrA7YD6iPWwn1gby6HECTTJ9LG7✨Do you have a Short Story or Novel you'd think we'd like or would want to see us cover?
