Welcome to the CodeX Cantina where our mission is to get more people talking about books! We are working through "The Penguin Book of Japanese Short Stories" and today we are looking at "Bee Honey" by Banana Yoshimoto (よしもと ばななor 吉本 ばなな which is the pen name of Mahoko Yoshimoto (吉本 真秀子)). Lots of themes of loss, soothing, and motherhood in this one. But it's all open to interpretation. What did you guys think of this story?Banana Yoshimoto Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmLdOWBzqno&list=PLHg_kbfrA7YAeg6IVNhEI4c_U5oUXEAM5Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzdqkkUKpfRIbCXmiFvqxIw?sub_confirmation=1=================================Books or Stories Mentioned in this Video:The Penguin Book of Japanese Short Stories: https://amzn.to/3xBUB7fChannels Mentioned in this Video:Pae @ Attention!: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_7IPEXaZuRlPeE90dFSDbw=================================#BananaYoshimoto#BeeHoney#PenguinShortStoriesTABLE OF CONTENTS:Do you have a Short Story or Novel you'd think we'd like or would want to see us cover?
