Film festivals offer moviegoers a chance to see multiple offerings in myriad genres from countries all over the globe, featuring everything from little-known independent productions to Hollywood blockbusters. And so it is with my hometown event, the Chicago International Film Festival, which just recently completed its 55th edition. In this special edition of The Cinema Scribe, I’d like to briefly examine six of my favorites from this year’s event.

The Cinema Scribe is a bi-weekly show hosted by Author Brent Marchant. Brent will focus on a specific movie each week and use its context for explaining what some call "law of attraction" and what Brent calls "conscious creation". This is a perfect show for those who enjoy going to the movies and learning how to create our realities.
