Jesus catches some Pharisees in a trap that they were trying to set for him. When children are set before him, he finishes his teaching about God’s intentions for not only marriage but our lives at large.

Christ's sacrifice on the cross, God's desire to be in a relationship with all of his people, and the witness of the apostles all speak to one profound God’s law, the words of Jesus, and the lessons of the epistles all testify to our need to listen and learn, but also go forth and be doers of the word so our light can shine in the world.

What does it really mean to partake of Christ? How is it really, that we can connect to God in the wafer and wine, but take that out into our everyday lives?

We can never spend enough time meditating on God’s word and there’s always something new to learn. But that will never get in the way of us going forth to be good ambassadors for God here on Earth because as long as e believe that God goes with us, it’s true. We need to take this knowledge into all our words as well as our deeds so that what we say will be a blessing to those who hear.

Life is complicated, and issues need to be unpacked before we make judgment calls, especially when it comes to others. Scripture’s mandate is that we weep with those who weep, not judge them or ostracize them. How amazing that God never turns his back on us!

God blesses us all with many different kinds of gifts. Even though we tend to weigh one skill as more important than another, we need to remember that God’s gifts to others are just as important as our own. From God’s point of view, our differences are what bind us together.

We tend to want help to come in a very specific way, but we need to trust God’s plan.
