In this episode, our guest Chad Zdenek tells us about his fascinating transition from rocket science to real estate. Chad bought his first property in 2015-2016, and his first syndication in 2019 as a solo GP. It was a $2M apartment in Long Beach, for which he raised $1.2M for it. He shares his investment journey in California and Florida, and mentions his investment in the storage sector in Texas.

Who is Chad Zdenek?

Chad is an experienced Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, and MBA graduate with a wide range of knowledge and professional experience. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from UCLA. 

He started out in Construction Management in the mid-1990s with Swinerton Builders before working with Boeing as a Structural Engineer on the Space Shuttle Main Engines. Then he joined Mobile Illumination as CEO and helped the company grow by over 2000% in 15 years.

Chad has lived in Los Angeles all his life, so he knows firsthand how essential multifamily housing is in the area.
