Troy is the CEO of Earthshot, which is building the technology for planetary-scale ecological restoration. He is also a co-founder at RIZOME, which is pioneering the use of bamboo engineered lumber as a climate-positive alternative to wood, steel, and concrete. He is bringing the audacious scale and vision of startup methodology to the planet’s ecological and climate crisis. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics, was an early employee at Airbnb and E la Carte, then founded and scaled Troy Cider and exited after a successful acquisition in 2015. He has focused on carbon finance and renewable energy and agriculture projects for the last six years.

Patrick has spent two decades in the tech industry as an engineering leader. At Google, he worked on Google Maps, Emerging Markets, and the Google Duplex conversational AI system. Patrick was also CTO at Two Sigma Private Investments where he pioneered the use of data science and machine learning in private equity markets.
