In this episode we get serious as I sit down with Mike Turner. Mr. Turner has been an active part of the Summerville, Dorchester County communities since he moved here in 1976. He graduated from Summerville highschool in 1992, attended The Citadel and earned a bachelor's degree. In 1990 he went to work at the Summerville Police Station and made it to Assistant Chief. He went to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office in 1998 as the operations major where he oversaw all aspects of the Office’s law enforcement duties: patrol, investigations, and the emergency response team. He graduated from the prestigious FBI National Academy in 2000. He also won several awards for his work, including Officer of the year.  He is running for Dorchester County Sheriff in the Republican Primary on June 9th, 2020 against incumbent L. C. Knight.
