Racism
The reality of Racism has been bought to the forefront of societies mind once again. It has never gone from society and has, despite movements in the past, survived in its covert insidious way.
With the most recent global movement against racism triggered in the overt way with the tragic death of George Floyd its right to bring the topic to The Big Drill.
As we always try to do on The Big Drill is bring pertinence to the podcast and in doing so we have Claudia on as a guest to bring her views, experiences and answer any questions Will or Ghazi have.
The historical events are considered with views on colonization, the actions of mobs, workplace racism and both Claudia and Ghazi’s personal experience. The understanding of the role society plays due to it being a capitalist system built on using commodities to make money is not left unchallenged as the three of us talk honestly and openly.
What can we do? Well there are some great ways which are addressed in the podcast. Some simple and straight forward and others more complex but just as important.
