24, and we saw how deception and confusion led to Adam and Eve sinning and sin's brutal consequences. The scripture that we will read in episode 5 is Genesis 4:1 - 26. Here you'll see how dramatically sin has affected humanity as Cain murders his brother, Abel.Key points: Only God knows your heart.  Cain's heart was selfish  Able's heart was not God is direct with us (He calls a spade a spade)  God accepts us when we do what is right  God warns us if we don't do the right thing: Sin is crouching at the door (ready to devour) Sin will control us The devastation and destructive nature of sin are revealed through Cain's actions: Pride that leads to; Anger that leads to; Murder that leads to; Denial that leads to; Lying that leads to; Consequences  God assured even Cain that he would protect him.  God is the God of second chances.   Questions: What is the moral lesson of Cain and Able?   The story of Cain and Abel teaches us a valuable lesson about living with sincerity. Through their example, we learn how not just our actions, but our attitudes matter to God – and how devastating sin's consequences can be. Why was Cain's offering rejected and Able's accepted?   We are given an answer in Hebrews 11:4 "It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel's offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts.
