All games mean something, the question is whether you, as an official, will call a game differently based on the type of game it is...a regular season league game or a tournament/playoff match.
Some things to consider are:
<ol>
 <li>What is at stake?</li>
 <li>Do teams care more about one type of game over the other?</li>
 <li>How much does experience of the referee play a part?</li>
 <li>Should a playoff/tournament game be officiated differently than a regular season game?</li>
</ol>
