Joe Ferraro is a High School English Teacher, Head Varsity Baseball Coach, writer, podcast host, and creator of the One Percent Better Project. This year marks his 18th year in the classroom.
While working full-time as a teacher, Joe was hired at Manhattanville College as the youngest head coach in NCAA history at age 21. There he inherited a 5-win team and helped turn the program around, totaling 22 wins in 2003. After five years at the helm, Joe now ranks second all-time in wins in program history.
Prior to his leadership at Manhattanville, Joe played four years of Division I baseball at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY earning academic all-conference status twice.
Joe was a starter on the 1995 Pennsylvania State champion Yardley Western Post 317 squad and a captain on the 1996 National Championship team. The final game airing on ESPN and featuring Yardley Western defeating future Olympic Gold Medalist and Major League Baseball All-Star Ben Sheets.
Joe has spent the last decade as a high school coach, first as JV coach and varsity assistant for the 2010 New York State Class C Champion Valhalla Vikings, and for the last two seasons as Head Coach of The Bronxville High School Broncos.
Joe’s current projects include writing and speaking as well producing and hosting KWB Radio. Finally, Joe is the creator of The One Percent Better Project. There Joe interviews creative leaders to uncover and share the habits and practices of success.
