On this episode we bring you 2015 American Baseball Coaches Association High School National Coach of the year, Brian Chapman, of Millburn High School Baseball. Coach Chapman shares how he quickly built one of the most successful high school baseball programs in the state of New Jersey. Brian discusses the importance of empowering assistant coaches, and how key it is to build transparent relationships with the parents in your program. Also, he shares his summer baseball approach, and how he has gotten the community to buy into what his program is accomplishing.

Brian Chapman’s Baseball Card
Coach Brian Chapman was named a 2015 American Baseball Coaches Association High School National Coach of the year.
In his 6th Season as the Head Coach at Millburn High School, and in the five previous seasons, he has taken his club to two county championship games, won two conference championships, captured three state sectional finals, and in 2015 nabbed the big one, a Group 4 (which is a grouping for the largest schools in the state) State Championship. Coach Chapman he has created one of the most respected programs in the state of New Jersey.
At the time of this recording, his program is ranked as the top public school in the state and are gearing up for another run.
Before taking the position at Millburn, he served 12 seasons as an Assistant at Cranford High School under Dennis McCaffrey, also one of the most respected coaches and programs in New Jersey.
Prior to that, he spent 2 years as an assistant at Union Catholic High School
And spent five years coaching college baseball. One year at county college of Morris
