Show notes

Welcome to The Anthologist, a podcast where some guy you don't know or care about watches and reviews randomly selected episodes from randomly selected Anthology TV shows that you may or may not know or care about. Shows designed to be watched in any order, watched in no particular order. This Week:

Tales From The Crypt - Season Three, Episode Ten: “Mournin' Mess ,” a ghoulish tale of wealthy elites and their exploitation of the poor taken to the most logical extreme - the horrifying nexus of charity and cannibalism.

Hammer's House Of Horror - Season One, Episode Six: “Charlie Boy,” A boring, tedious, slog of a British horror joint that never realizes its potential and can't even make the racism inherent to its premise interesting.

And stay tuned for The Expansionist, where I treat the episodes I reviewed as failed backdoor pilots and imagine the full series that might have been, in this case a supernatural horror mash up of Dynasty and Mr. Deeds with Wendigos, and a Ryan Murphy style anthology series about the wacky adventures of a cursed racist statue and the people who love to kill with it.
