How Dan first came up with the idea for the company while tree-planting: seeing “slash and burn piles” of unused wood. He started by started making charcuterie boards and met Candace when she bought his first one.

They taught themselves how to work with wood and use the tools through trial and error. They also talk about where they source their material and learn about the different properties of wood. Candace breaks down the process of taking a piece of wood and turning it into a finished product.
