Any tips for building skills while out of a job?

How do you go about tailoring your resume for a specific posting?

What's your opinion on the level of importance of cover letters?

Would be curious to learn about your guys' opinions on specific job portals other than LinkedIn (AngelList, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc.)

How to strategically/practically use and leverage LinkedIn to build professional connections?

Would love to hear your suggestions on what students can do this summer to develop themselves even if they haven’t landed an internship!

If you have multiple job offers, what's your decision making process to choosing just one to accept?

I'm interested to know how students can remain competitive for next summer's hiring cycle, if they were unable to secure a co-op this summer. I'd like to hear everyone's perspective, but especially from a mechanical engineering perspective.

One of the biggest things advisors drilled into me is to apply, apply, apply and just try to get a foot in anywhere while I'm hunting for internships. Given what ‘s going on in the world do you think I should be keeping my foot on the gas? Or would it be more productive to work more on developing myself instead (learning new technologies, doing personal projects, starting my own businesses, etc.)

What industries do you think will hiring a lot during the pandemic?
