We're Talking Playoffs
55 minutes Posted Jan 10, 2024 at 9:00 am.
What's up sports fans? Week 18 of the NFL Season means it's time for the playoffs. For 14 teams, the season rolls on—Devon's Lions keep pushing, and Alex's Vikings can focus on 2024. We talk about the head-to-head matchup a little bit, and then focus on what the Vikings should do going forward. Alex gives his take on why the Panthers have a super attractive job offer, and it's all about the money
We rip through some highlights from Week 18
and talk about some tough decisions coming for several franchises. We also give a rundown on why the "rookie QB contract" requirement for Super Bowl winners is a myth, and examine if this was the uncerimonious end of Bill Belichick. Plus, shoutout to Puka Nacua
for breaking records. We delve into Black Monday firings
from the Falcons to Chargers (and—we recorded *just* before Mike Vrabel got axed). Devon makes a case for Arthur Smith being upset with the Saints, but Alex is all for pettiness. We toss around some Jim Harbaugh rumors
and kind of think he should stay in Ann Arbor. The Raiders, though? Shouldn't interview a single soul; Antonio Pierce has earned that spot. Plus, Alex tosses out two potential coaching changes to keep an eye on
—and one of them is a playoff team. We revisit our midseason NFL Awards
and a few we want to change, but some (ahem, Lamar MVP) feel like locks. Then, at long last, playoffs
We talk about the hopefuls, go through Wild Card Weekend matchups, and give our official picks for the entire playoff bracket. Finally, Power Rankings to wrap the regular season
