We kick off Season Seven’s Theme of “The Netflix Follies” for the Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe with his second outing after partnering with the streaming behemoth… 2016’s “The Do-Over” starring David Spade alongside Adam Sandler. Will this dark film find a way to shine its light on the star charts we have created for our shared cinematic universe or will such themes prove to shadowy? The Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe Podcast is back and can hopefully find the answers we all seek.  

Happy Hanukkah  and welcome back to our thrilling adventure to navigate and chart the wonders of a shared Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe! We aren't returning to your regularly recorded episodes just yet, but in the spirit of the season we did want to take roughly eight crazy minutes to update you on what's going on with the show, what we have planned going forward, and make sure you know to watch 2016's "The Do-Over" in preparation for our first season seven episode where the theme is The Netflix Follies.Thank you so much for supporting us through the strike induced hiatus and especially for helping to keep us the #1 Film History Podcast. Season Six of the Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe kicks off its theme of Sandler Sequels with not only his latest film but also his latest sequel the follow up to 2019’s “Murder Mystery” the aptly titled “Murder Mystery 2”Examining sequels, their history in Hollywood, and their place in the modern cinematic environment may prove to be game changing in our expedition to explore a vast cinematic universe. Wrapping up our Season Five theme of Reboots, Remakes, and Re-dos we take the time to re-examine the seventh film we assessed on our journey to create our own shared cinematic universe of the film’s of Adam Sandler 2011’s “Just Go With It.”It being the first film to judged after our core six films that we knew composed the foundation of what we were setting out to build, Sejohn was fearful we may not have given it a fair shot so it is back in our crosshairs for a second chance. As a bonus the film itself is a remake of the 1969 film “Cactus Flower” so it fits nicely with the rest of the films that had their moment in the spotlight during season five.Thank you for joining us on this journey through the Sandler Reboots, Remakes, and Re-dos and we’ll see you back here next month for the Sandler Sequels.Comments can be directed to [email protected] and don't forget to follow us on Twitter @TheASCU
