As speakers we spend a great deal of time worrying about the importance of public speaking and what we are going to be saying the next time that we give a speech.
We think about our topic. We mull over the words that we’ll use. Finally, we lay out the sequence that we want to use in order to share our thoughts with our audience. This is a lot of work. However, it turns out that we may be missing a key part of what it takes to deliver a great speech. The way that we speak affects how our audience listens. In fact, how they listen, affects how we speak.
Just exactly how are we supposed to make use of this circle of communication?
